PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, November 27, 2009 - Commonwealth Heads of Government begin their three-day meeting in Trinidad and Tobago today with the issue of climate change set to overshadow everything else on their agenda.
Leaders of the 53-nation grouping are expected to outline their positions on the matter soon after the opening ceremony, host Prime Minister Patrick Manning said.

The meeting is normally a conference bringing together leaders from Britain and its former colonies. But this time around it has attracted French President Nicolas Sarkozy, and there have been reports that US President Barack Obama as well as his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao may also make the trip, along with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriquez Zapetero of Spain.

Higuaín!!!!!!!!

Real Madrid CF took a step closer towards the UEFA Champions League first knockout round with a narrow victory against FC Zürich thanks to Gonzalo Higuaín's first-half effort. Higuain beat goalkeeper Johnny Leoni with a low shot in the 21st minute in a Group C match that also saw the return of Cristiano Ronaldo after nearly two months out because of an ankle injury.

Chelsea FC wrapped up top spot in UEFA Champions League Group D with a game to spare with a win at FC Porto and just as on Matchday 1 in London, a single Nicolas Anelka strike was enough to separate the already-qualified sides.

Federer Outlast Murray

LONDON, Nov 24 (Reuters) - Roger Federer ensured he would end the year as world number one after he beat Andy Murray 3-6 6-3 6-1 in a round-robin match at the ATP World Tour Finals on Tuesday.
Federer dominated Murray in the final two sets, finally controlling play from his serve and also getting his forehand on target.
